Agape Vespers is the service that closes Pascha afternoon, and as always, it was such a celebration!
We proclaimed Christ’s Resurrection over and over, loudly and joyfully. Then the Gospel account was read in the many languages of our community, each one a reminder that the Resurrection was announced not to one people but to every people.
We are so blessed to have parishioners from so many different lands and with so many languages to share with us! This year we had Serbian, Ukrainian, Russian, Latin, Greek, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, French, and English!
Then it was time to truly break our fast and feast together, and feast we did! The festive dishes brought by each person came together to make tables laden with so many delicious feasting foods we waited 40+ days to eat.
Allen and Leann’s egg hunt was its own kind of much-anticipated annual tradition. They are always so thoughtful to arrange age categories that leave no one out! As always, they managed to delight everyone equally, from the toddlers to the grown adults (who were not even a little embarrassed about how much they wanted to find the prize-winning eggs).
Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen!
Blessed feast!
